This Mandingette's black rage is so strong, its blowback has actually turned the police into harmless blurs! Among Mac Donald's choice bits:
No one is “bracing,” in press parlance, for white riots or police violence should Officer Wilson be indicted...
Normal, as well, is the sickening sense of dread with which one awaits another possible outbreak of black rage...
The Obama administration has lent its prestige to this conceit, charging, for instance, that the elevated rate of black school suspensions reflects administrator and teacher bias. The disproportionate rate of black students’ misbehavior is left completely out of the anti-discipline crusade, just as the disproportionate rate of black crime is ignored when the media, the White House, and academics discuss allegedly racist police activity and incarceration...Well, guess it's time for Rand Paul to give another speech at a historically-black college!
UPDATE. In comments, mortimer2000 explains that "any random paragraph of MacDonald's bullshit needs a few additions to make it even remotely pertinent" and does some glossing on her current offering:
No one is “bracing,” in press parlance, for white riots or police violence should Officer Wilson be indicted [not even for all of Wilson's gun-toting racist supporters -- why is that?]. Nor were there preparations for Asian riots last month in Los Angeles as a jury heard a murder case against a 22-year-old [not-a-cop] thug from South Central L.A. [who was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole], who, along with an [not-a-cop] accomplice [who was also sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole], had shot two Chinese engineering students attending the University of Southern California in 2012.It should also be mentioned that Mac Donald accepts the most cop-friendly interpretation of events in the Brown case as the irrefutable truth, and affects surprise that any black folks would see things differently: "One might think that it would be good news if Wilson did not initiate the violent encounter or shoot Brown in cold blood: It would mean one less instance of alleged police brutality." Similarly, what if all those old-timers volunteered to work on those cotton plantations? You just have to know how to look at it!
No one is “bracing,” in press parlance, for white riots or police violence should Officer Wilson be indicted...
ReplyDeleteOf fucking course not. Pumpkin season is well over.
I'm bracing for white violence. Michael Brown was braced for white police violence and he ended up dead.
ReplyDeleteThe Obama administration has lent its prestige to this conceit, charging, for instance, that the elevated rate of black school suspensions reflects administrator and teacher bias. The disproportionate rate of black students’ misbehavior is left completely out of the anti-discipline crusade, just as the disproportionate rate of black crime is ignored when the media, the White House, and academics discuss allegedly racist police activity and incarceration...
ReplyDeleteNo, sir: No possible chance of bias here. None at all.
And the preceding 400+ years of White people keeping Blacks from getting educations, holding decent jobs, buying decent land and housing, competing in the marketplace, and lynching, raping, beating, shooting, and otherwise committing unpunished acts of hideous violence against Blacks--that, too, is nothing to take note of. After all, it's not Whites' fault that Blacks simply didn't appreciate all of that, nor is it Whites' fault that racism still runs deep to this day.
No sir: No possible chance of bias here. None at all.
The thing is, White violence is like car crashes or gun deaths--a slow steady background noise that our society has come to accept. One, two, many black kids gunned down by the cops each week? No big deal 'cause it's like every OTHER week.
ReplyDeleteI'm too young to remember what Al Sharpton was like in the bad old days, so it's always kind of a trip to see people inveighing against him and accusing him of stirring up shit now that he's a milquetoast MSNBC host.
ReplyDelete'No one is “bracing,” in press parlance, for white riots or police violence should Officer Wilson be indicted...'
ReplyDeleteNo, but that shit will go off if some sports team loses.
A supporter of Ferguson, Mo. police officer Darren Wilson recently launched a fundraising campaign to put up a billboard in the town that would read "#PantsUPDontLOOT."
ReplyDeleteThe supporter, who lists himself as living in Brentwood, Tenn., launched the campaign on Oct. 28 on the website IndieGoGo. As Gawker noted on Monday, it had already reached its funding goal.
Wilson is the police officer who in August fatally shot unarmed black teenager Michael Brown in Ferguson.
The phrase "Pants Up, Don't Loot" was popularized by the conservative National Review as a response to the chant commonly recited by supporters of Brown: "Hands Up, Don't Shoot."
keep it up kids; your uncle billy would be proud.
"Brace for violence" tends to be the politically correct way of saying "use pre-emptive violence."
ReplyDeleteMy my my my my woo! My my my myyyyyy Baroney!
ReplyDeleteBut seriously Michael Barone should've been put out to pasture decades ago.
Wait, which organ is being kept up here?
ReplyDeleteActually, a lot of us expect at least as much police violence as they think they can get away with. And people used to impunity think they can get away with a lot.
ReplyDeleteNormal, as well, is the sickening sense of dread with which one awaits another possible outbreak of black rage
ReplyDeleteHey guys, I think something's wrong with your dog whistle. Everyone can hear it.
Pants Up, Don't Loot because that's what all Black people do, right? I mean, in between cashing their welfare checks, drinking their cold '40s, and beating on White people.
ReplyDeleteAs I've said before: I'll stop calling conservative racist assholes when they stop doing racist asshole things.
Hey, if black kids are punished more frequently or harshly, or even expelled from charter schools in such high numbers that it's virtually indistinct from segregation, it's obviously because they've absorbed the gutter values of their forefathers and are behaving like little monkeys. By the way, you can't call me racist. Condi Rice says that opposing charters that kick out black kids is the real racism.
ReplyDeleteOr wins.
ReplyDelete"Pants up?" Man, talk about fighting yesterday's culture war.
ReplyDeleteOr sometimes before the game is over.
ReplyDeleteSlowly dragging us back to the time when Lee Atwater's southern strategy was "n*gg*r, n*gg*r, n*gg*r."
ReplyDeleteeven tho whites have been repressed for years, you don't see them rioting...
ReplyDeleteAny random paragraph of MacDonald's bullshit needs a few additions to make it even remotely pertinent to the Ferguson situation. Here's an example, but you'd have to do it to the whole thing:
ReplyDeleteNo one is “bracing,” in press parlance, for white riots or police violence should Officer Wilson be indicted [not even for all of Wilson's gun-toting racist supporters -- why is that?]. Nor were there preparations for Asian riots last month in Los Angeles as a jury heard a murder case against a 22-year-old [not-a-cop] thug from South Central L.A. [who was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole], who, along with an [not-a-cop] accomplice [who was also sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole], had shot two Chinese engineering students attending the University of Southern California in 2012 .
Also:
"Heather Mac Donald is the Thomas W. Smith fellow at the Manhattan Institute and the author of Are Cops Racist?"
You'll never guess what her answer is to the question posed by her book title. No really, I bet you can't guess. C'mon, give it a shot. You'll be so surprised at the answer. No, really. It's a shocker.
when will ta-nehisi coates speak out against 2 live crew?
ReplyDeletei'm going to use a lifeline regis
ReplyDeleteNormal, as well, is the sickening sense of dread with which one awaits another possible outbreak of black ragepolice murder & terror
ReplyDeleteAs far as bracing for violence is concerned, I've been enjoying the work Anonymous has been doing lately in response to the Ku Klux Klan sticking their noses into the situation.
ReplyDeletetomato tomahto
ReplyDeleteOr Pumkin Fest. Or VEISHEA.
ReplyDeleteNo, really. It's a shocker.
ReplyDelete[Skips to end of book]
... "The fish"? Welp, I definitely didn't see that coming.
THE AUTHORITARIANISM IS COMING FROM INSIDE THE HOUSE
ReplyDeleteNo one is "bracing" except the KKK.
ReplyDeleteI see dead black people.
ReplyDeletePretty amazing photo to choose, highlighting the only two black faces as being menacing.
ReplyDeleteOf course, the facemasks on both the cops and the young man are worn to protect, but they somehow manage to make the young man's mask look sinister.
She also commits the fallacy of equating all races - the Chinese students killed at USC had few ties to the local Chinese-American community, so why would there be a community reaction? Just because all Chinese people are alike?
ReplyDeleteThat's probably part of her point, being that she's going for this "identity politics" crap. In that worldview, black people all view themselves as one tribe (thanks to liberals, natch), while Asians - the Model Minority(TM) - don't. Never mind that it's conservatives who are always going on about a unitary "black culture" and suggest that all African-Americans raise their children in exactly the same way. No, it's all the fault of black "race hustlers," a term I can't believe people still use.
ReplyDeleteThe Other is always a monolith to these fuckbrains.
ReplyDelete"see rioting as a black entitlement"
ReplyDeleteLemme see if I understand here
HARRY: Whatcha gonna do tonight, Fred?
FRED: I was gonna go to the riot. You wanna come?
HARRY: Sounds like fun! And since we're entitled to riot, nothing bad can possibly happen to us!
Mac Donald: "Wilson’s life is effectively destroyed. Sharpton and other black leaders should denounce such slow-motion lynchings."
ReplyDeleteAs opposed to Michael Brown's life, which was actually destroyed. Then left out in the street for four hours. "Slow-motion lynching" indeed.
(Imagine traffic that day. "Sorry honey, there's a backup on Florissant and--Ohmygod there's a dead body in the middle of the street. . .")
The Pope DOES NOT shit in the woods.
ReplyDeleteMichael Brown has, at different points and in different combinations, been described as the following: a thug, a gangbanger, a drug addict, a murderer, a violent brute so terrifying that his bare hands should be considered as dangerous as a gun. Oh, and people have gone after his family as well, referring to his relatives as criminals.
ReplyDeleteBut it's Wilson who's been unacceptably smeared. Just so we're all clear.
Was just looking over Google images of the Vancouver 2011 Stanley Cup riot. A fair few Asians caught up in the insanity. The only black person I saw was a cop helping a badly-beaten white kid.
ReplyDeleteHey, I'll have you know that VEISHA was permanently canceled this year thanks to mere decades of rioting. So as you see, when it's largely white people, such things are simply not tolerated.
ReplyDeleteThere had been two major GoFundMe pages raising money for Darren Wilson, who fatally shot 18-year-old Michael Brown earlier this month. Combined, the fundraisers had pulled in almost $500,000.
ReplyDeleteThat was September. I'm sure he's been given more.
Well, the two black panthers with the nunchucks in Philadelphia sure scared the bejeesus out of everyone for like 4 years running now.
ReplyDeleteRage-fueled trigger-happy cop using wildly disproportionate response to a confrontation of his own making, subsequently shielded by the full power of the judicial establishment.
ReplyDeleteI ask you, has there ever been a more spot-on definition of victim?
This stirs [...] Heather Mac Donald to, oh, the same horrible shit she always does
ReplyDeleteHaving identified black inferiority as the real problem, what does Mac Donald propose to do about it. Does she have a policy proposal, or is this just helpless hand-wringing? Or an attempt to lure Stormfront readership back to NRO?
No one is “bracing,” in press parlance, for white riots or police violence should Officer Wilson be indicted...
ReplyDeleteCommunities of color brace for this sort of violence every single day... It's just that the media never reports it.
That's odd, because nobody at NRO seems to see dead Blacks as people.
ReplyDeleteWell, they did stand there being Black while that older White lady used her cell phone in a most unconcerned manner. Not even gazing deep into the Eye of Sauron can inspire that much terror.
ReplyDeleteA day of National Scolding will cure this country of all its ills; then Mike Pence's ennobling poverty can do its magic!
ReplyDeleteNo one is “bracing,” in press parlance, for white riots or police violence
ReplyDeleteWell, for one thing, they wouldn't be called riots. They'd be called "demonstrations" or "populism" or some shit. And the police response would most likely be a motorcycle escort.
the disproportionate rate of black crime is ignored when the media,
ReplyDeletethe White House, and academics discuss allegedly racist police activity
and incarceration...
Of course she could do what actual researchers do, which is include evidence such as widely available statistics of, say, drug use by race versus arrest versus sentence etc when they publish, or she could just accuse other people of ignoring reality and publishing whatever they what to believe because of bias.
Nah, man, those are their peace batons.
ReplyDeleteCorrectly me if I am wrong, but none of the "bracing for violence" reports I recall from Ferguson specify race or colour at all. Probably wisely, given the KKK's intentions of turning up in force.
ReplyDeleteThe tendentious implication that the violence will come from dark-skinned people says more about Mac Donald's prejudices and projections than about the real-world situation, but we already knew that, did we not?
Wilson's crowdfunded defense fund had over half a million in it back in the beginning of September. And I'm supposed to worry about his reputation?
ReplyDeleteEdited to add: I should really read the whole thread before posting.
Normal, as well, is the sickening sense of dread with which one awaits another possible outbreak of black rage
ReplyDeleteFeck, is that crap writing or what? It reads more like a tortured example of Chomskian grammar transformation than words from an actual human being.
Or "peace keeping," "crowd control" or "a measured response."
ReplyDeleteJesus, you know what an entitlement is? When cops can do ANYTHING and these assholes will jump to defend it and when cops get let off for crimes anybody else would go to prison for, because "their jobs are so dangerous" and "they put their lives on the line."
ReplyDeleteGotta fight for your right to party.
ReplyDeletewell, maybe not anymore, but once upon a time.
ReplyDeleteI mean, the really horrifying thing is that, in context, they're setting pulling your pants up as the conditions for not being shot.
ReplyDeleteBill Cosby's got his own stuff to deal with, someone has to cover his beat.
ReplyDeleteany random paragraph of every wingnut's bullshit needs a few additions to make it even remotely pertinent
ReplyDeleteFTFY.
If he's not indicted, I hope to hell Wilson spends the rest of his miserable existence in hermitage so extreme it makes Salman Rushdie look like a social butterfly.
ReplyDeleteThe racism for which NRO kicked out Derbyshire is now perfectly acceptable there. Derbyshire's mistake was just one of timing; he was prematurely white supremacist.
ReplyDelete[staccato into old-fashioned microphone] Al Sharpton's silence on the fiendish machinations of Stephanie St. Clair and her numbers racket speaks volumes, ladies and gents!
ReplyDeleteSeems to me there's a lot less "putting their lives on the line" these days, when they're given to responding to the smallest incidents (as long as they involve blahs and not, say, ammosexuals) with guns blazing.
ReplyDeletethe author of Are Cops Racist?
ReplyDeleteHow conveeeeenient.
And the best part is, he was never hurting for money, what with the paid leave and all. His donors literally just thought his killing a black kid rated a reward.
ReplyDelete"Am I kidding? Is the Pope Catholic? Does a bear - well, I know you do, Aldo."
ReplyDeleteSlowly?
ReplyDeleteMe too, instead of the sinecure at some conservative organ, which is almost certainly what he will get.
ReplyDeleteOr, being shot anyway, but your pants are pulled up.
ReplyDeleteBad old days = weird hair and "blah blah something black power", at least until Tanya Brawley.
ReplyDeleteAnd, pardon me, but "Pants Up, Don't Loot" was popularized? Really? I guess I missed all the flash mobs of people chanting "Pants Up, Don't Loot" in suburban shopping malls and plazas, or in adult fitness classes, or backslapping one another to a hearty chorus of it at sporting events. Or maybe it's just a hot new activity at tea-party rallies?
ReplyDeleteTheir spray bottles are full of freedom capsicum.
ReplyDeleteMay that money bring him just as much happiness as George Zimmerman's money has brought him.
ReplyDeleteI wish him as much happiness and success in life as George Zimmerman has found, post-Trayvon.
ReplyDeleteWhat the fuck, by the way? Who (other than NRO straw men and vigilante assholes) sits around and figures out how much violence they can get away with? Are we supposed to think folks involved in protests carefully calculate how many trash cans they can set on fire before it's "too many"? "Yeah, I figure I can turn over... let's see... three more cars before this gets outta hand. I'm good!"
ReplyDeleteWankers.
And that's why they're awful, awful people.
ReplyDeleteJune, 2015 - the premiere of the "Darrin Wilson Show" on FAUX, a celebration of America's police and how tough their jobs are every day...
ReplyDeletethe author of "Are Cops Racist?"
ReplyDelete"Denials of police racism" is one specialised literary niche. Of the people who think of cops as racist, not many are going out buying volumes of law-enforcement apologism; similarly, of those who think cops can do no ill, not many require confirmation of that view.
But a Thomas W. Smith fellow at the Manhattan Institute is not really writing books with the goal that anyone should buy or read them.
Paying bounties for scalps is an old American tradition.
ReplyDeleteThe Media and the White Establishment males are jumping up & down with joy at the thought of a nice, juicy RIOT!
ReplyDeleteFAUX can not only cover it live, but turn it into a three-disc collector's set complete with voice-over commentary by Offica Wilson! Wheee! On sale exclusively at Wal-Mart in early 2015.
ReplyDeleteI think they invited J.C. Watts over to NRO headquarters just to say it to him.
ReplyDeleteto be fair, they don't see living blacks as people either (well they might go as high as 3/5ths of a person)
ReplyDeleteThe conservative talk radio plays all day in the shop where I work.
ReplyDeleteToday, much of the material was racial. This possible indictment of Officer Wilson has a lot of people talking.
I am pretty sure what they are saying is (and that is Mac Donald there at the start. I mean everyone in Scotland is named Mc Donald right?)
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I7TUI_IVLCI
All the power's in the hands
Of people rich enough to buy it
While you walk the street
Too chicken to even try it
Everybody's doing
Just what they're told to
Nobody wants
To go to jail
White riot I wanna riot
White riot a riot of my own
White riot I wanna riot
White riot a riot of my own
You have my sympathy. I used to have that; Glenn Beck and Limbaugh being played at me. It was a challenge not to throw things at the radio sometimes.
ReplyDeleteHave you noticed that the people they've unhooded look exactly like who you'd expect to be in the Klan? Straight out of central casting.
ReplyDeleteOne of them lifelong internships on the plantation, right?
ReplyDeleteJob security, yeah.
ReplyDeleteExcept in the presence of pumpkins.
ReplyDelete"‘Bracing’ for Violence in Ferguson” …No one is 'bracing,' in press parlance, for white riots or police violence…"
ReplyDeleteJust to be clear, notwithstanding McDonald’s headline uses the word ‘bracing’ in inverted commas, thereby implying that she’s quoting someone, her article contains no such quote.
In other words, she has pulled the entire ‘bracing’ thing out of her magician’s top-hat-shaped arse, specifically so she can blame black people for stuff (i) other people are allegedly doing (‘bracing’), which (ii) nobody but her is
claiming is happening anyways.
.
her magician’s top-hat-shaped arse
ReplyDeleteAt least you can tell which seat is hers.
The conservatives think its screamingly funny and clever, therefore everyone must agree!
ReplyDeleteGosh, mumble-mumble years ago, I, a white 25 year old woman, was attacked & beaten by a stocky red-headed guy. Did all the 25 year old women in town rise up and thrash red-haired guys? No! Ladies and gentlemen, I rest my case.
ReplyDeleteThe horrifying thing is, if Wilson is not indicted, and there are riots, our people-in-charge (white guys) will use the riots as another excuse to increase police violence-on-Black people, rather than a good reason to educate and properly train, and frequently discipline! their policemen.
ReplyDeleteThe results will be the opposite of what the "rioters" (most of whom are protestors, not rioters) want to achieve.
I look forward to her cliff-hanging follow up treatise Is Al Sharpton a Race-Baiting Race-Pimping Race-Hustler Who Wants to Ravage and Despoil All Our Women?.
ReplyDelete.
Normal, as well, is the"sickening sense of dread"with which one awaits another possible outbreak of black rage
ReplyDelete"thrilling sense of glee!" Fixed.
"Just because all Chinese people are alike?"
ReplyDeleteWell, that's one reason of course. Onother is the well-known that they are inscruitable.
There is no scruiting them, hard as one might try.
.
What the fuck, by the way? Who (other than NRO straw men and vigilante assholes) sits around and figures out how much violence they can get away with?
ReplyDeleteIt's basically anyone who finds themselves with a.) limited intellectual capacity and b.) lots of discretionary power. And they do it incrementally.
"Today, I kicked a homeless man, and nothing happened."
"Today, I beat a homeless man, and nothing happened."
"Today, I sent a homeless man to the hospital and claimed he attacked me. And nothing happened."
"Today, I beat the crap out of a Black kid, and nothing happened."
And so on until we get to "Get the fuck outta the street! BLAM! BLAM! BLAM!"
And, sadly, it may be that nothing happens.
Have you tried kicking one in the scruitem?
ReplyDeleteThings DO happen in response to police violence, but police insist its "rioting".
ReplyDeleteOr if a bunch of yahoos get drunk in Wasilla, AK.
ReplyDeleteDidn't Barone used to be at the Wall Street Journal? Maybe I'm thinking of someone else.
ReplyDeleteLink please.

*Not really in these cases.
The word "possible" is the Goldbergian tell. Also, "as well" between commas is the mark of a true wanker.
ReplyDeleteGoddamn it. Why didn't I think of that?

ReplyDeleteI'm not up on my Irish surname conventions, so I have to ask: Is it common to separate the "Mac" and the "Donald?" Or is Mac her middle name?

ReplyDeleteA true Renaissance twatwaffle.
Not to minimize other forms of workplace harassment, but I'm thinking this qualifies. I've had a taste of it in a non-job situation, and it provided a couple of laughs and opportunities to mumble "oh, fuck you, asshole," but I'm pretty sure I'd go postal after a while.
ReplyDeleteDude looks hammered.
ReplyDeleteIt was from the pharmacist I worked for, who, other than the wingnuttery and the attempt to convert me to Christianity, was actually a really nice decent guy. I miss our conversations about Star Wars, Linux and old video games.
ReplyDeleteHe better be careful. Not that many brain cells he can afford to kill.

They left their load

ReplyDeleteDid you try to convert him to apatheism?
ReplyDeleteThe organizers would be invited to the Fox studios, possibly given their own shows.
ReplyDeleteHe's a double-hooder, for sure!
ReplyDeleteBack?
ReplyDeleteMaybe the guy has a ski mask on because it's expected to bottom out at 19 degrees tonight in Ferguson, due to the government's obsession with shooting black teenagers as an alternative to dealing with the rich psychopaths who are destroying human life in order to make a quick profit.
ReplyDeleteNaw, must be black rage.
ReplyDeleteNo, but I hope I left some seeds.
ReplyDeleteIsn't converting someone to apatheism like organizing a National Anarchist's Party?
A face like an un-flushed toilet seat.
ReplyDelete.
I;m pretty sure his brother Ray wrote for Newsday
ReplyDelete"The disproportionate rate of black students’ misbehavior "
ReplyDeleteAs perceived by biased white people. Yeah, that works.
"a term I can't believe people still use"
ReplyDeleteReally? Considering that they're still claiming that "communists" and "outside agitators" are causing all the troubles in Ferguson?
No, no, you have to unscrew the inscrutable. Kicking it doesn't help.
ReplyDeleteTruer words .... I'd say you won the Intertoobz with this except it's too sad.
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of conservatives standing around waiting to play with the racial dog whistles because Heather MacDonald never learned to share.
ReplyDeleteor she could just accuse other people of ignoring reality and publishing whatever they what to believe because of bias.
ReplyDeleteAnd if that isn't the pot calling the kettle... Oh, she won't want to hear this, so maybe I should spell it.

ReplyDeleteI think the lesson here is that all red-haired guys are violent and thus deserving of whatever pre-emptive justice we can mete out to them.
ReplyDeleteIt's just as valid a generalization as "All Blacks will riot if they don't get White blood."
I guess they're willing to compromise that way.
ReplyDeleteI would like to chainmail this comment to my friends.
ReplyDeleteI would like to upvote this comment 20 times, but it's going to take a while as I establish and log-in as 20 different users.
ReplyDeleteWe've managed to set the protestors up with a great Catch-22. Remain peaceful and be ignored (and thus not able to accomplish their goal), or have violence break out and be crushed by further state violence--and thus prevented from accomplishing their goal.
ReplyDeleteThat will surely keep "them" "in their place."
I heard it was suicide...
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid the results of the midterms have emboldened them. If anything, there'll be an uptick in police and other coordinated violence, and TV news here will just shrug and say "Why the fuck not. There was an election."
ReplyDeleteThe local Republican party where I live was screen-grabbing its twitter campaign from UK Nazi groups. The base they tuned out were almost uniformly vise jawed hate apes. All of them looked like infants straining to shit.

ReplyDeleteI listen to an iPod during most of the day, filled with progressive podcasts and things.
ReplyDeleteI got it specifically to hear Democracy Now, but it turns out there's all kinds of good podcasts available, and public radio programming that you just can't get here in North Georgia.
I've also known people who get government money for one reason or another who still listen to Limbaugh et al.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't seem to give them cognitive dissonance though. The "moochers" are always somebody else.
"Bracing" for violence in the White Trashistans, or actively trying to promote it?
ReplyDeletehttp://talkingpointsmemo.com/dc/tom-coburn-executive-action-obama-you-could-see-violence
She just knows that blacks commit a disproportionate amount of crime because the police arrest and charge them disproportionately. Isn't that what they call circular reasoning?
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile Congressthing Tom Coburn is predicting "violence" and "anarchy" if/when Obama issues his Executive Order on immigration.
ReplyDeleteThese assholes are really looking forward to insurrection, aren't they? "You MADE me shoot you!"
"Similarly, what if all those old-timers volunteered to work on those cotton plantations?"
ReplyDeleteWhy do liberals hate volunteer/internship work experience? There is no free lunch you looney libs! NRO Internship provides valuable work experience for young people just entering the workforce. Here at NRO, some of our staff of writers even allow inexperienced prospective bullshit peddlers to do most of the hands on work themselves thus providing a stepping stone for a long and lucrative career in the bullshit arts. It's the freemarket system!
It was always acceptable to their readers. I remember reading the comments over there after he was fired. The consensus was that Derb was fired for speaking the truth and why is NRO buckling under to the tyranny of political correctness.
ReplyDeleteWilson may never make detective, what with that black mark on his record. Cops are the Jews of Liberal Racism.
ReplyDeleteWhy do liberals hate volunteer/internship work experience? There is no free lunch you looney libs!
ReplyDeleteJust free lunch ladies!
uppity pumpkins?
ReplyDeleteGingers are the true victims.
ReplyDeleteIf you have been reading any of the conservative Catholic press lately, apparently, the Pope is not Catholic enough and should be opposed.
ReplyDeleteBuckley would be ashamed, not at the racism but at the fact that the racism is not couched in pompous purple prose.
ReplyDeletePointing out racism is the real racism.
ReplyDeleteCanadian blacks don't count. They're honorary whites.
ReplyDeleteDefending civilization against the black hordes is hard or keeps you hard or something.
ReplyDelete90% of "American Carol" fans agree.
ReplyDeleteBoth of them!
ReplyDelete"They put our lives on the line every day."
ReplyDeleteUsing "lynch" to mean "make somewhat unpleasant the life of a white person who has shot and killed an unarmed black teen"? Makes one wish the Language Police were real...
ReplyDeleteI made the mistake of reading the latest Rolling Stone article on Rape at UVA this morning. Then as I was out and about I saw a gang on young, well dressed, white guys out together heading in for brunch or something. I literally shivered with horror and fear. Its something that makes me realize how the Fox news network affects the lizard brain of Fox elderly racists. If you read or see enough stuff about the evil actions of an identifiable subgroup of society you are going to develop an ineradicable and nearly sponanteous fight or flight reaction.
ReplyDeleteThe disproportionate rate of black students’ misbehavior is left completely out of the anti-discipline crusade, just as the disproportionate rate of black crime is ignored when the media, the White House, and academics discuss allegedly racist police activity and incarceration...
ReplyDeleteWhite cops get an allegedly, blacks get nothin' but "misbehavior" and "black crime." I saw what you did there, lady...
I thought about forming a Church of Apathy but, meh.
ReplyDeleteThe dog whistle is turning into a vuvuzela.
ReplyDeleteSomeday I will get around to forming a National Procrastination Party.
ReplyDeleteActually, sef described 'communist' outside agitators in Ferguson are a thing.

If the Language Police were real, they'd be applying billy clubs to the heads of most of the NR staff.
ReplyDeleteYes, that is really remarkable. Top of his head actually comes to a point. Born to wear a hood...
ReplyDeleteIf you read or see enough stuff about the evil actions of an identifiable subgroup of society you are going to develop an ineradicable and nearly spontaneous fight or flight reaction.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. Nowadays, whenever get on a bus or subway and notice a banker is on there as well, I either change cars or get off at the next stop.
I've been re-reading The Grapes of Wrath and the term "agitators" is often used by the farm owners against starving migrants who want to work for 30c an hour (instead of 25 or 15) to feed their families.
ReplyDeleteImagine my surprise to see it used in 2014 against those who dare challenge the police killing of an unarmed teen.
